Beverly Knight was proud to pass on her The Bodyguard musical duties to X Factor 2008 winner Alexandra Burke on Sunday, as she graced the red carpet for the Laurence Olivier Awards.The singer spoke to HELLO! Online before the ceremony, sharing her excitement for handing over the torch in June as she says goodbye to the character of Rachel Marron. This year's Olivier Awards took place at the Royal Opera House, which saw thespians rewarded for their dedication to their craft.

Rory Kinnear was named Best Actor while Lesley Manville took home the Best Actress gong.
