Kenny and Marianne Rogers
Estimated settlement: $40-60 million
You've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em. And that seems to be The Gambler singer Kenny Rogers' philosophy about tying the knot. Despite being "as close to a fairytale storybook marriage as I could have had", his union with third wife Marianne came to an end in 1995 after nearly 18 years.
And the reason for the breakup? "Oh, she started having lunch with her girlfriends and I started playing golf with the boys," he says. Those trips to the green might have been the costliest in history, as Marianne collected a payout of more than $2 million for every year she was married to the country crooner.
