While she may not have landed the number one slot, Victoria's post-Spice efforts were nothing to be ashamed of. Her first single reached number six, while Let Your Head Go debuted at number three. More recently, however, the singer has turned her attention to an area much closer to her heart - fashion. "I know that I could never become the best singer in the world, but everything to do with fashion comes naturally to me,” she says. “I feel passionate about design.”

And as the super-chic star focuses on the fashion scene she must gain confidence from knowing she’s already a massive hit in several corners of the world. She appears in ads for the Tokyo Beauty Centre and Meiji Seika confectionary and has also designed a range of handbags marketed in the region. In 2004 she helped raise her profile in the East by serving as a guest judge in the finals of a China-hosted modelling competition.

Other fashion orientated projects include a line of maternity wear for trendy US denim company Rock & Republic. Although initially aimed at the Asian and American markets, the DVB range is also being considered for a European launch.
