Gordon's new tome is packed full of easy, stress-free ideas perfect for impressing pals
Gordon Ramsay is almost everywhere these days – TV programs on both sides of the pond, eleven restaurants in the UK, three pubs, five restaurants in America. And every time you turn around it seems like he has a new book out. Is this a bad thing?
On the face of, it can seem like a man with a back catalogue of thousands of recipes is simply going through the motions, churning pages out for us to digest at a rate of knots. On paper this might sound bad, but the elements that made Gordon the success he is are strong in this book.
There are truly wonderful moments here, from a man not afraid to use the word 'quiche'. The recipes often feel like pared down versions of restaurant dishes, and as such are ideally suited for cooking for your pals. They are just complex enough to give a sense of achievement, but simple enough to cook without stress. An ideal Christmas gift for a budding chef.
