Michelin marks centenary of culinary guidance with i-Phone listing

World-renowned restaurant rundown the Michelin Guide released it's 100th edition on Monday, celebrating its centenary by making the guide available to i-Phone users.

Originally aimed at helping French motorists find somewhere to stop and eat, the guide has become a hallmark of quality and excellence in the restaurant industry.

The new edition awards only one restaurant the coveted three-star status - Le Bristol, a Parisian eatery not far from the home of the French president.

Twenty six of the 548 restaurants listed have three stars – the maximum awarded. There are nine new two-star restaurants and 63 new one-star restaurants. Dropped from the guide entirely this year is the formerly three-star Maisons de Bricourt.
