In 2009 there were some key climbers in the list, including Denmark's Noma – up seven places – Swedish restaurant Oaxen Skärgårdskrog and Brazilian establishment DOM, both of which rose 16 slots. Also listed 11 places higher were American eatery Alinea and Switzerland's Restaurant de l'Hotel de Ville.
