A two-day extravaganza of family fun including music, food and classes with celebrity chefs will be happening at Jimmy’s Farm in Suffolk this September

22 JUNE 2009

Jamie Doherty, star of BBC2’s Jimmy’s Farm, will host a two day-food and wine extravaganza at his farm in the late summer haze.

In September, Jimmy’s Harvest will see the gates thrown open at his farm in rural Suffolk to showcase the best of british food, with a focus on sustainability, locality and freshness. Helping him along the way will be a few famous names giving master classes in the art of making the most of ingredients.

James Martin, Gino D’Acampo, Gennaro Contaldo and BBC2 star Anjum Anand will be hosting classes. Long-time friend Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Restaurant will be taking over the huge barn for the duration of the festival.

Throwing some music into the mix to get the party started will be Ivor-Novello winning Athlete, Jose Gonzalez, Mercury winners Badly Drawn Boy and folk-star Seth Lakeman.

There are plenty of other activities going on, including nature trails, woodland walks and a play area along with a dedicated childrens entertainment program.

The festival is happening on September 12-13 with tickets priced at £25 for a single day or £45 for the weekend. For more information head over to the website.
