10 JULY 2002
The day after christening her son Damian in London's plush Mayfair area, model/actress Liz Hurley was taking centre stage in a very different way - making one of her customary eye-catching appearances at the Versace show and party in Paris.

Since it was a Versace dress that made her, it wasn't surprising to see her turn up to find out what Donatella Versace is serving up this season for her topline clients' delectation. What was surprising, though, were Liz's stunning looks just 12 weeks after giving birth.

"I've had to work incredibly hard to lose the weight," she admits in this month's Harper's Bazaar, whose cover she and Damian grace. "Being able to squeeze myself into tiny clothes is how I earn my living."

Donatella's "the thigh's the limit" approach exactly suits daring Liz, and she was all eyes as the models took to the runway. Sitting alongside singer George Michael, currently in the news for depicting Tony Blair as George Bush's poodle in his new video, she had a prime view of the new offerings.

Other celebs drawn by the lure of Versace were P Diddy, actress Chloe Sevigny and Men In Black II's Rosario Dawson, society girl Paris Hilton, and ragga singer Shaggy with R&B sensation Ashanti.
