New mum Claudia Schiffer has revealed her four-day-old son's name – and it's one that reflects some recent changes in his father Matthew Vaughn's life.

The 7lb little boy, who was born in London last Friday, will be called Caspar Matthew De Vere Drummond – taking the surname used by his filmmaker dad for the past six months.

Matthew's name change came last year after he discovered the man he long thought was his father, American actor Robert Vaughn, was not his biological dad. Subsequent DNA tests showed that George Albert Harley de Vere Drummond, godson to the late King George VI and godfather to model Jodie Kidd, is Matthew's true father. The 58-year-old aristocrat recently laid claim to the ancient title Earl of Oxford, meaning Claudia's new husband would one day inherit the title.

A spokesperson for the couple did not know if there was any family significance in the name Caspar. The little boy is the latest celebrity newborn with a unique moniker, following Victoria Beckham's Romeo, Kate Moss's Lila Grace and Sadie Frost's baby Rudy.
