Her engagement to namesake Paris Latsis didn't end up with a trip down the aisle - the pretty blonde is now dating another Greek heir, Stavros Niarchos - but Paris was clearly enjoying her moment as a catwalk "bride"

PARIS MAKES A BEAUTIFUL BRIDE FOR JULIEN

15 FEBRUARY 2006

She may not have made it down the aisle with ex-fiancé Paris Latsis, but hotel heiress Paris Hilton showed that she's a natural when it comes to wedding wear as she paraded down the catwalk in a white gown and veil at the start of London Fashion Week.

And it wasn't only bridal looks the lithe part-time model was showcasing when she took to the runway for Welsh designer Julien Macdonald, whose autumn/winter collection kicked off this week's fashion extravaganza in the British capital.

The blonde reality TV show star guaranteed all eyes were on proceedings as she opened the event in a full-skirted strapless ensemble in silk satin, accessorised with a black and white diamond heart necklace by exclusive Swiss jeweller de Grisogono worth £2 million.

The American socialite's presence was something of a coup for Julien: although he has a reputation for clever courting of publicity, London Fashion Week tends to draw fewer celebrities than Paris and Milan. There were a few famous names on hand checking out the Merthyr Tydfil-born maestro's new creations, however, as his Welsh compatriot Shirley Bassey and footballer's wife Louise Redknapp looked on from front row seats.
