BIRTHDAY GIRL KATE ENJOYS COUNTRY LIFE WITH PETE

16 JANUARY 2007

In the past Kate Moss has celebrated her birthday in headline-grabbing style with lavish bashes. But this year the supermodel seemed to be enjoying an unusually quiet and rural run-up to her 33rd birthday on Tuesday.

She and her singer beau Pete Doherty spent Sunday strolling in the country near her home in the picturesque Cotswolds village of Little Farringdon. Lila Grace, her four-year-old daughter from her relationship with Jefferson Hack, joined them for the outing.

Covergirl Kate looked the part in her green wellies and snug scarf and hat, while the Babyshambles frontman - who brought a bottle of beer along for refreshment - donned a navy quilt jacket for the sunny walk.

The pair, who spent New Year's Eve in Thailand, are no doubt making the most of any free moments before their schedules hot up. And Kate, who is due to design her own clothing range for Topshop, can expect to see her boyfriend more involved on the fashion scene in the future. He recently designed a signature collection for Gio Goi, a music-inspired men's fashion label, and sales have gone through the roof.
