Having grown up in a poor neighbourhood on the outskirts of Rio, Fernanda represents something of a Cinderella story. Aged nine she launched as a child model, moving to Sao Paolo five years later to work full-time. The 5ft 10in stunner's career really began to heat up, however, after she hit the Paris fashion circuit and caught the eye of celebrity snapper Mario Testino. These days she's best friends with fellow Brazilian supermodel Gisele, and earns a hefty paycheque for her dazzling work. Her future goals lie somewhat outside the modelling world, though. "I want to have three kids before I'm 30," she says.
