In August 2002 supermodel Elle Macpherson happily announced she and her partner of seven years, Swiss businessman Arpad Busson are expecting their second child – a little brother or sister to son Flynn, who was born in 1998. The Aussie beauty gave up the catwalk in recent years to dedicate herself to her family and a burgeoning lingerie business. “While I enjoy my work very much, I'm careful about what I decide to do and always make sure it's not too disruptive of my home life," she says. "Like most mothers who work, sometimes I work and sometimes I look after the family. It's that simple." Elle says being a mum has taught her how to be less selfish and more compassionate. "Obviously I'm not the same person I was 20 years ago, or even 10,” she says. “My interests are different. I'm a family person now instead of a single person." |
