A look at famous brides gives inspiration to help find the perfect outfit for any wedding location.
For example, a barefoot Ulrika Jonsson wore a carefree hairstyle and pearl ankle bracelet to set off her lace Alice Temperley gown when she wed Lance Gerrard Wright in a garden ceremony at her island home in Sweden. For her wedding to Luciano Pavarotti at the Modena opera theatre in Italy, bride Nicoletta Mantovani also opted for loosely-curled locks, a hairstyle which perfectly complemented her romantic pale pink silk Armani gown.
Historical romance was the theme of the day for some, including singer Cerys Matthews, who opted for the medieval look with dramatic hooded cape and chandelier earrings as she tied the knot with producer Seth Riddle. And heiress Kate Rothschild wore an empire-waisted gown with a simple mid-length veil held in place with a row of flower buds at her wedding to Ben Goldsmith.
Some walks down the aisle seem more like a stroll up the red carpet, however. When actor Adam Sandler wed Jackie Titone in a Malibu ceremony last summer, the bride made her entrance in a figure-hugging spaghetti-strap gown – a look as perfect for a premiere as a wedding day.
