The sky's the limit when it comes to celebrity honeymoons – and Westlife star Nicky Byrne's post-wedding getaway with new wife Georgina Aherne. The dream trip began with three-nights at the Chateau de la Chevre d'Or in the south of France, followed by a luxurious stay in a private villa with its own strip of beach on Mahé, the largest island in the Seychelles.
Indeed, island life is a frequent choice for the celebrity set on both sides of the Atlantic – and the Pacific as well. Friends star Matt LeBlanc wed model Melissa McKnight in a springtime clifftop ceremony on the Hawaiian isle of Kauai last May, as 75 guests, including Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox looked on. And after their star guests had returned home, the couple stayed on for two more weeks, enjoying their first days of married life in an exclusive hotel overlooking Kauai's glistening shores.
Beach romance also attracted newlyweds Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, who jetted off to Mexico's Baja Peninsula after their top secret nuptials late last year. There, they booked into the Las Ventanas al Paraiso, an exclusive resort on the Sea of Cortez, where the mum-to-be and her rocker hubby had time to lounge in the sunshine on white sand beaches.
