Die Another Day is a landmark film in the famed James Bond series – not only is it the 40th anniversary of the franchise which started in 1962 with Dr No, it's also the British secret agent's 20th adventure.
The latest instalment once again finds hunky Irishman Pierce Brosnan reprising his role as 007, embarking on a mission which takes him from Iceland to Cuba. And what would Bond be without a babe? This time round, the role of sexy sidekick is filled by actress Halle Berry, the first Oscar-winner in history to play the spy's on-screen love interest, as the cheekily-named Jinx.
"Jinx is like a female 007," says Halle. "She deals with the men in the film gracefully and always remains sexy. A person capable of being all those things is the most dangerous weapon that can exist."
The Monster's Ball star, who in one scene emulates the famous image of a bikini-clad Ursula Andress emerging from the sea, admits that she has long been keen to play a 007 babe. She reveals: "I grew up watching James Bond movies and it's always been a fantasy."
Die Another Day opens in the US and UK on November 22.
