A roll-call of British TV stars put their best foot forward when the new comedy Dodgeball had its UK premiere in Kensington. Coronation Street star Shane Lynch and EastEnders' Scarlett Johnson were both among the celebs who came along for the glitzy screening.

Kirsty Gallacher, who introduced the film, was turning heads in a figure-hugging black number. And reality TV star Daniella Westbrook made a similarly memorable impression in bright pink at the Tuesday night event.

In the movie Ben Stiller plays an egomanic gym owner who tries to take over a rundown fitness centre. The only chance the gym's rag-tag clientele have of holding on to their beloved facility is winning a dodgeball tournament.

After the movie finished the revellers moved on to Leicester Square, where former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff refereed a boys v girls dodgeball competition. And as all those present found out, it is not a game for the faint-hearted. Fortunately none of those present suffered the same fate as Ben's wife and co-star Christine, who was injured while working on the movie.

"We both took a few bruises during the making of this film," explained Ben. "I did accidentally hit Christine in the face. Let's just say she wasn't happy. It was a bizarre thing to be doing to each other - most people just tend to hit one another at home, not when they're at work."

Also in attendance at the bash was Princess Diana's former lover James Hewitt and Family Affairs' leading lady Ebony Thomas.
