Hollywood star Liv Tyler has given birth to her first child. The Lord Of The Rings actress and her British husband Royston Langdon welcomed a healthy baby boy in Manhattan on Tuesday.
The tyke, who remains unnamed for the moment, weighed in at 8lbs. "It went well and mother and baby are feeling fine," said a representative for the 27-year-old. "Liv and Royston have not named him yet but they expect to within days."
The sex of the infant may have come as something of a surprise to the couple, because just a few weeks ago Liv said she was expecting a girl. The pretty brunette revealed that her nose had broadened slightly, which, according to an old wives' tale, signals the imminent arrival of a little lady.
But the actress is said to be overjoyed at becoming a parent, regardless of the child's gender. "My baby is so handsome I can't stand it," she was quoted as saying. The happy news also means that her famous father, Aerosmith frontman Steve Tyler, has joined the likes of Mick Jagger and Paul McCartney by becoming a rock and roll granddad. |
