Cannes got an extra dose of glamour on Wednesday when top models Eva Herzigova and Victoria Silvstedt took to the red carpet. The two blonde bombshells were joined by comeback kid Mickey Rourke and showbiz veteran Liza Minnelli at the premiere of hotly-anticipated Sin City.

Obviously inspired by the film's title Victoria wore a risqué leather bodice and barely-there skirt, while Eva, who was accompanied by British designer John Galliano, opted for a rather more understated strapless black creation.

The catwalk queens weren't the only ones drawing cheers from the crowd, though, as the film's star-studded cast was also in attendance. Tinseltown beauties Jessica Alba and Brittany Murphy turned heads, while Mickey Rourke, who has fought his way back from a lengthy career slump, arrived with Benicio Del Toro.

Their new film, which is set in a seedy futuristic city, is filmed almost entirely in black and white. Its violent content and stylish presentation have already provoked praise and criticism in equal measure in the US. Other big names rounding out the cast include Bruce Willis, Elijah Wood and British heart-throb Clive Owen.
