Troy actor Brad Pitt returned to the public eye this week for the first time since he was treated for meningitis at an LA hospital.

The bottle-blond star was looking tanned and recovered as he accepted a $250,000 check on behalf of the Film Foundation – a non-profit organisation which restores old movies – at the annual Hollywood Foreign Press Association luncheon on Tuesday.

About ten days have passed since Brad checked himself into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, suffering from what was, at the time, a mystery illness. Diagnosed and treated for viral menangitis, the Mr And Mrs Smith hunk was released from hospital after three days.
