Tinseltown has lost one of its favourite blonde bombshells after Uma Thurman swapped her trademark golden tresses for a new brunette look. The statuesque actress was photographed showing off a darker side to her character during a break in filming on the set of her new movie.

Uma has reinvented herself for her role as a spurned lover with superhuman powers in the flick Super Ex-Girlfriend. In the tongue-in-cheek film her character uses her mind-boggling abilities to make her ex-boyfriend's life a living hell.
"I'm playing a grouchy superwoman," revealed the 35-year-old. "I've always wanted to do a comedy and nobody ever let me. I've been banging down the door. I love to laugh – it saves my life on a daily basis."
In real life the performer seems to be enjoying a rather more amicable relationship with former husband Ethan Hawke. The acclaimed actor, who split from his wife just last year, was on hand to keep an eye on little Roan while his mum was busy working. |
