He may have lost out on the role of the new James Bond, but actor Colin Salmon looked 007 suave in a snazzy tuxedo as he stepped out for a black tie dinner in London on Thursday.

The multi-talented star, who is also known as M's right-hand man, Officer Robinson, in the Bond franchise, hit a high note at the affair, taking to the stage for a musical display of his trumpeting talents.
An avid fan of Charlie Parker and Miles Davis, Colin, who appears in director Woody Allen's next two films, Match Point and Scoop, was once a busker in London, with dreams of becoming a professional musician.

"I never really wanted to be an actor, it sidled up to me," he once said. "Now I think it's a brilliant profession."
