HUNGARIAN PM DOES A HUGH IN 'LOVE ACTUALLY' SPOOF

It's clear from his heart-throb status that Hugh Grant has a considerable global following, but none of his fans are likely to be as enthustiastic as the Hungarian prime minister, Ferenc Gyurcsany. The politician paid the actor the ultimate compliment when he shot a three-minute video imitating a scene from Love Actually.



Made as a wedding present for Andras Batiz, his spokeman, the recording starts with the scene from the romantic comedy in which Hugh, playing the British PM, starts shaking it to the Pointer Sisters' tune Jump (For My Love) .

It then cuts to a shot of another man, revealed to be the European leader, boogying away. Mr Gyurcsany's star turn amazed even his closest aides. "The scene surprised even us who meet the prime minister daily and obviously know him in a way most people don't," wrote Mr Batiz.

And the 44-year-old premiere, who is gearing up for a general election on April 9, was able to pull off such a spot-on performance because he's been following the elegantly spoken star's career rather closely.

He revealed that his inner circle of pals start each year viewing one of the actor's screen works. "It's been a habit for quite a few years with my friends that we watch a Hugh Grant movie on New Year's Eve, more precisely at dawn on New Year's Day, either Notting Hill or Love Actually."
