Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson laugh it up in Los Angeles

Kate Hudson says she couldn't stop laughing when she was filming the new comedy You, Me And Dupree with funnyman Owen Wilson. And the two blond stars, who recently finished work on the movie, were still getting on like a house on fire when they turned up for its premiere in Los Angeles this week.

With broad grins across both their faces, the pair were eager to talk about how much fun they had making the film. In the flick Owen plays a charming layabout who moves in with his best friend, played by Matt Dillon, and his new wife. And although the newlywed couple find themselves increasingly exasperated with their "couch-surfing" guest, in real life they couldn't get enough of the performer.

Kate, who was wearing an elegant black sequinned number with plunging neckline for the screening, revealed how the comic made her try on a whole series of revealing bathing suits for a dream sequence before she realised he was playing a joke. "That was so funny," said the mum-of-one. "Owen would be like 'Ummm, maybe you should put on the other one again…. and turn around…. that's nice. What about the other one?' Oh God, we were laughing so hard. That whole experience was so much fun because we were all ridiculous."

The Wedding Crashers actor, who didn't even have the benefit of a swimming costume for many of his hysterical scenes, says it was Kate who misled him, however. "I think why Matt and I liked her and the crew loved her and the directors, is that Kate is very easy to get laughing and she's always kind of smiling so you feel like 'wow, I'm really on fire today!'," explained the 37-year-old. "Then you realize she's like that with the prop master and the caterer. She kind of makes everybody feel like they're great - and it doesn't hurt that she's super pretty."
