Parents Monica and Russell hard at work on set

Monica Bellucci was having a "take your daughter to work day" this week as she filmed scenes in Rome for her latest flick. But her little girl was apparently not so keen on her early taste of movie magic.

The Passion Of Christ actress is currently shooting the sequel to Italian comedy Manuale D'Amore and had taken her daughter, who turns two next month, on set. But filming had to be stopped when Deva started crying for her mum - who like any devoted parent quickly scooped the toddler up in her arms for a reassuring hug.

Despite the tears, its clear to see that with her big brown eyes and brunette curls the pretty youngster, whose father is French actor Vincent Cassell, is taking after her beautiful Italian mama in the looks department.

Meanwhile, new dad Russell Crowe was flexing his acting muscles again in New York. The Cinderella Man star has been enjoying fatherhood for the second time round after son Tennyson, who he calls Tenny for short, was born on July 7 in Sydney. Russell and his wife Danielle Spencer also have a two-year-old, Charlie.

In his latest movie, crime thriller American Gangster, the 42-year-old New Zealander appears alongside Denzel Washington as tough cop Detective Ritchie Roberts in 1970s Harlem. And he certainly looked the part as he was spotted on set wearing retro shades and a long-collared shirt.
