CAMERON AND KATE MAKE JUDE'S DAY

30 NOVEMBER 2006

Jude Law looked like the cat who'd got the cream this week as he hit the red carpet with not one, but two of Hollywood's most beautiful actresses - Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet. The Cold Mountain heart-throb was understandably chuffed as he posed for photos with the glamorous duo.

The three thesps were in the Big Apple to attend the glitzy premiere of their romantic comedy The Holiday. In the flick Kate and Cameron's characters meet online, and go on to swap homes for the holidays in an effort to avoid their current romantic circumstances. And it appears the film's leading ladies would like to give it a go for real.

"I want to swap homes with Cameron," said Kate. "I'm determined to see what her house looks like!" And the Charlie's Angels actress, gorgeous in a metallic mini dress, says her fellow screen star would always be welcome. Though LA-based Cameron admitted: "I don't know if she'll find the guest bed, there's so much stuff piled up on it. I'm a procrastinator, so it's hard for me to really get to the chores that I should be getting to. So everything goes right into the guest room."

While Jude Law gets to woo Cameron in the flick, Kate's love interest is funnyman Jack Black - who was unable to make the premiere. Despite earning an unprecedented four Oscar nominations by the age of 30, the Titanic star says she was still nervous about taking on a comedy role. "The worry of 'Can I be funny?' is a terrible thing to be concerned about," she revealed.

Having recently played a series of American women, the 31-year-old also found it tricky to be British for a change. "I was surprised how nervous I was just playing an English woman. I didn't like the feeling initially. I thought: 'Well, what do you mean I can't hide behind something? What do you mean I don't have a wig or an accent or a strange costume?'."

The Holiday opens nationwide in the UK and US on December 8.
