JEN AND VINCE CONFIRM THEY'RE NO LONGER AN ITEM

6 DECEMBER 2006

Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn have officially announced they've decided to go their separate ways. "After Jennifer's trip to London several weeks ago, Jennifer and Vince mutually agreed to end their relationship, but continue to be good friends today," said their spokesmen in a joint statement.

It ends weeks of speculation that the couple, who began dating in the summer of 2005 while working on their film The Break Up, were no longer an item. The 37-year-old Friends actress had visited her beau in the British capital, where he was filming Fred Claus. While she was there the pair took in the sights and a matinee of the musical Wicked, catching up after spending over a month apart.

Previously, both stars had denied there were problems. In October Jennifer had denied any rift on the Oprah Winfrey Show, while the Wedding Crashers funnyman also shot down rumours that the relationship was over.

The couple is not the only one in Hollywood to break up before Christmas. OC co-stars Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody, who also played on-screen lovers, have ended their three-year relationship. "They just grew apart," a source said. "They have been on and off for a while now."
