It was a case of gone but not forgotten as co-stars and associates of Heath Ledger turned out to celebrate the London launch of the late actor's final film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

Setting a particularly glam tone for the evening was model Lily Cole – gorgeous in a monochrome, floor-length Chanel gown. The flame haired beauty, who appears in the film, said seeing Heath on screen again was a touching experience.

"It was tough to carry on without him, but it was strangely nice to watch it back," says Lily, currently dating US actor Enrique Murciano. "It was good to see him on screen after a year and a half."

Director Terry Gillingham paid tribute to the Hollywood star, who died of a drugs overdose during a break in filming in January 2008.

"Those of us who worked with him actually know how beyond extraordinary he was," said the film-maker. "He would have been the greatest actor of his generation."

Bringing a lighter note to the proceedings was Terry's Monty Python star pal Terry Jones, who drew laughs by horsing around with an umbrella as he arrived.

Other guests at the Leicester Square premiere included Bernie Ecclestone's daughter Tamara and La Toya Jackson, who turned heads in a racy black lace-up dress and towering stilettos.
