Michelle Keegan laden with shopping bags on set of Ordinary Lies

It looks like Michelle Keegan has one thing in common with her new on-screen character Tracy – a love for shopping. The pint-sized actress was pictured laden with bags as she browsed the shop windows of Manchester city centre, filming scenes for TV drama Ordinary Lies. The star announced last month that she would be joining the BBC show, which is set in a car salesroom in the north of England.

Michelle Keegan stars in Ordinary Lies, set to air next year

Michelle looked right at home as she clung on to her high-street shopping bags from stores including Coast, Ted Baker and Victoria's Secret. Known for her on-trend style, the Stockport-bon beauty rocked a blue leather jacket, white patterned top and royal blue trousers. She wore her long ombré locks down, parted back with a hair braid headband, and completed her casual look with a grey handbag. Michelle has previously revealed on her HELLO! Online blog how eager she was to take on her new role. "So this week I start my new job! So excited! Finally, finally I can tell you!" she wrote. "I have been cast in a brand new BBC drama series – Ordinary Lies. It's set in the offices of a motor showroom, and is about the little white lies that people tell and how they can spiral out of control."

Michelle Keegan previously wrote that she was 'so excited' to join the cast

Written by Emmy and BAFTA winner Danny Brocklehurst, Michelle went on to praise the script and stellar cast. While she added that she couldn't say anything just yet about her character, what fans do know is that Michelle has an on-screen love interest in the form of actor Danny Kelly. The pair were pictured kissing at Manchester airport last month as they filmed scenes for the show, with Michelle and Danny's characters enjoying an emotional reunion. The actress looks to have settled into her new role and life on set as Danny complimented her in a Twitter post. "A great day of filming! With a lovely bunch of people! @michkeegan & @johnmckayinc," he posted alongside a photo of the group in a car. Fans will have to wait until 2015 for the first episode to air – at least seven months after Michelle last appeared on screens as Tina McIntyre on Coronation Street.
