The X Factor's new judges and presenters will be seen together on screen for the first time in the promo for the show due to air on Monday evening. While Simon Cowell may still be head judge, it is Cheryl Fernandez-Versini who appears to be taking over in the teaser, which is set in a scientist's laboratory.

The 32-year-old has been cloned into robotised "Chez-bots", which repeat some of her infamous catchphrases such as, "I know exactly what you're going through pet."

New judge Rita Ora is sent to contestant feedback training, while fellow newcomer Nick Grimshaw is fitted with a special judging microchip, only to realise it belonged to his predecessor Louis Walsh when he repeats: "You look like a popstar, you sound like a popstar."

Simon also makes an appearance, bragging that he's already found the next winning act.

"Girls are going to love them, boys are going to love them, bigger than One Direction," he says, before revealing his two dogs, Squiddly and Diddly, singing You Raise Me Up.

New hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs also feature in the promo alongside Xtra Factor presenters Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom, as they seek to reveal the secret formula behind the new and revamped series.

The promo will air just ahead of Coronation Street on ITV at 7:30pm on Monday evening, and the new series will return towards the end of August. It is promised to be a revamped format, with judges Rita and Nick taking the places of Mel B and Louis Walsh, as well as Caroline and Olly taking over Dermot O'Leary's presenting role.

Peter Dickson, the man responsible for doing the voice-over, also announced that he would be leaving the show after 11 years on Tuesday.

He tweeted: "After the best 11 years with the X Factor, it's time for me to check out and cut loose."
