Best known for: Being the most successful European Ryder Cup captain ever
Sporting legend Tony Jacklin CBE, 69, is the most successful British golfer of all time. He has won a multitude of tournaments including the PGA Tour, European Tour and Senior PGA Tour, and his name hangs in the World Golf Hall of Fame.
The sports legend was named as part of the line-up after golfing fan and Strictly host Sir Bruce Forsyth gave some cryptic clues.
When asked why he decided to join, Tony said, "I thought why wouldn't I? I suppose one aspect of it, not having lived in the UK for a while, is there's a generation probably who don't know who I am or what I did. So this is an opportunity to reintroduce myself. Music has been a big part of my life, all my life, and maybe that’ll work in a positive way."
