Tom Fletcher has spoken for the first time about his battle with bipolar disorder, admitting that there were times he "didn't want to get out of bed". In the final part of ITV's Fearne and McBusted, the 28-year-old explained, "I realised that I was struggling more than other people around me were."

He said that he didn't know he had the disorder until he heard other people talking about it, but he sought help — and it wasn't long before his bandmates noticed a difference in him.

"I think it was Harry who said, 'You've got your laugh back. You haven't laughed like that in four years'," the dad-of-one said.

In March, Tom and his wife Giovanna Fletcher welcomed their first child together, adorable baby boy Buzz, and the singer said that since becoming a daddy, he's the happiest he's ever been.

The revealing ITV documentary also saw Dougie Poynter and Matt Willis talking candidly about their time in rehab.

Matt's wife Emma Willis broke down in tears as she spoke to Fearne about the musician's battle with addiction and her decision to stand by him.

"He went to rehab when I'd known him for three months. We hadn't known each other for very long and I was kind of in this whirlwind with him," said Emma, who has been married to Matt since 2008, and has two children with him.

"You don't really think about it, then more time goes along and he went in again. "Trying hard not to cry, she added, "This isn't a kid that needs a couple of weeks break, it's someone who genuinely has a problem."

You stick together and get through it."

"I'm not going to leave him because he has a problem.
