I'm A Celebrity... Melanie Sykes on the possibility of finding love in the jungle

Melanie Sykes has said she is ready for romance again – but she isn't interested in finding it in the jungle. The TV host, one of the stars taking part in this year's  I'm A Celebrity…, has ruled out the possibility of starting a new relationship during her time in Australia. "I am ready to move on but I've got no interest in front of millions of people with my sons watching," she told the Mirror. "It would be just a little bit weird. So, no, I doubt that's going to happen."

Mel, 44, had an acrimonious split from her toyboy husband Jack Cockings, 27, a year ago. The couple tied the knot in May 2013 after a whirlwind romance, but went their separate ways in November. She was previously married to Italian actor Daniel Caltagirone, with who she has two sons, Roman, 12, and Valentino, 10. Being away from her children is going to be the hardest part about being in the jungle. "The kids are at school, and you're only allowed one person to come out (to Australia) and it's an awfully long way," Melanie said. "And with Valentino and his autism, I don't think he'd handle that length of flight."

Melanie will join nine fellow celebrities for the 14th series of the reality show, which kicks off on Sunday. Kendra Wilkinson, Michael Buerk, Gemma Collins and Tinchy Stryder are among the famous faces competing to be crowned king or queen of the jungle.
