Questions have been asked about whether Channel 4 show The Jump is too dangerous, with more than a dozen celebrities suffering some kind of injury. Ruptured knees, dislocated shoulders, fractured backs – the reality show has seen it all. Ola Jordan, who had to pull out of series two after a nasty fall, has spoken about whether The Jump should be banned.

The Jump: celebrities who have been injured

The professional dancer, 34, admitted: "Doing The Jump was a bit... silly, maybe. I wouldn't do it again, I would never ski again! My recovery was so long that I wouldn't want to risk it. I just wouldn't want to go through it again. It was a horrible, long, long recovery, so I don't want to do it again. I think to go on a skiing holiday even once or twice a year, I just don't think it's worth it to be honest."

The former Strictly Come Dancing star added: "It is a dangerous show but skiing is dangerous. Whether you like it or not, a lot of people go on ski holidays and come back with injuries. Skiing is dangerous, but the show is great. If someone signs up for it, someone signs up for it. You can't just say it's too dangerous so you need to stop the show. I look at it as skiing is dangerous, not the show."

Ola admits she feels the pressure to have a baby with husband James

Ola had a brief stint on The Jump in 2014, but quit after she injured her leg on her third day. "I wasn't doing any jumps or anything stupid," said the Polish star. "I was just very unlucky. My leg is okay, it will never be 100 per cent, but it's okay. I go to the gym, I still dance, I still do shows, so it's fine. But obviously it's not like it used to be. It's as good as it gets. I still have pains here and there. My left leg still feels a little bit different compared to my right leg."

Is the future of The Jump in jeopardy?

The semi-final for this year's series takes place this weekend, with Louis Smith tipped to be crowned king of the slopes. Ola revealed that her bet is on the gymnast, saying: "I think Louis stands a good chance. I think he's been doing really well. He's got good balance because of what he does anyway, but I think he's also quite a daredevil, he throws himself into it, so I think he could do pretty well."
