It was while filming To Catch A Thief that Grace was introduced to Prince Rainier on the Riviera at the 1955 Cannes Film Festival; the meeting changed her life forever. On April 18, 1956, at the peak of her fame and just one week after completing the musical High Society – the eleventh and final film of her six-year career – she left Hollywood behind, marrying Rainier to become Princess Grace of Monaco. |
