JESSICA ALBA
After the success of Sin City and The Fantastic Four Jessica Alba can pick and choose her movie roles. It wasn't always so easy, though, and the actress says she struggled with typecasting in the early days of her career. "I only used to get (offers) for Maria, the janitor's daughter, messing around with the white kid," she explains. "My father's Mexican and very dark and my mother is very fair. I came out how I did and they always want to pigeonhole you. It's bizarre. This industry has definitely made me think about me being a Latin girl."

The actress, who got her break in the small screen series Dark Angel, sees herself as being at once Latin and all-American. Thanks to her father's career in the Air Force, which meant the family moved from place to place for many years, she has also seen more of the country than most of her Hollywood peers.
