'Time for a change': Pregnant Saturdays star Frankie Sandford swaps short crop for long extensions

04 JUNE 2013

Frankie Sandford's short, side-swept crop has been her signature look for years, but the pregnant Saturdays singer has decide it's time for a change. The Saturdays star, 24, swapped her chic crop for long luscious locks with the help of some hair extensions this week.

Frankie, who is expecting her first child with footballer Wayne Bridge, posted a picture of her new look on her Instagram page telling fans it was time for a change.

"I look about 5 here, but in the words of @missksymes 'long hair don't care' lol. #preggohair #timeforachange," she wrote next to the snap.

The singer's new style, which features caramel-coloured highlights, falls just below her shoulders.

Frankie recently spoke about getting used to her changing body as she experiences pregnancy for the very first time.

"I'm having to get used to my body changing," she told new! magazine. "If I wasn't on stage and being photographed all the time, I think I'm be more relaxed. There are a lot of things to get used to.

"You can look good from one angle and not another. I think black is definitely the way forward with my pregnancy."

Luckily for Frankie, her fiancé Wayne, 32, has been helping her choose maternity outfits.

"Wayne has been a godsend as every morning I'm like, 'I've got nothing to wear!' H's been helping me to decide."

Frankie will be the third members of the Saturdays to become a mummy. Her bandmate Una Healy has an adorable one-year-old daughter Aoife Belle, and just two weeks ago Rochelle Humes welcomed her first baby, a little girl named Alaia-Mai.

Frankie and Wayne announced their pregnancy joy at the start of May, one month after they shared news of their engagement.
