Ellie Goulding reveals the hairstyle she wants to try again

Ellie Goulding has been rocking a sleek shoulder-length bob in recent months, but it seems the star is contemplating a new makeover. The 29-year-old revealed that she has been missing having long hair, sharing a throwback photo of her locks before she opted for the chop.

The Love Me Like You Do hitmaker took to Instagram to share a throwback photo of herself at the Versace Couture show last year, when she was sporting long tousled waves that cascaded down almost to her waist. "I want long hair again plz…." she wrote in the caption for her 8.5 million followers. "Throwback to the Versace Couture Paris show."

Ellie is no stranger to experimenting with her locks. As well as having had her hair cut into a bob, she has also experimented with a wide range of hair colours including pale grey, purple and pink.

It could be that Ellie considering a new look to celebrate the beginning of a new year. 2016 is already off to a strong start for the blonde beauty, who gave her fans major fitness inspiration when she shared a video of herself back in the gym just a few days after the end of the festive season. In the short clip posted on Instagram, the Burn singer shows off her impressive boxing skills as she spars with her personal trainer.

It comes as no surprise that Ellie is continuing with boxing this year – she has previously revealed that the exercise has left her feeling "empowered" as well as helping her when she takes to the stage.

"Boxing is very animalistic and there's a lot of adrenaline in it," she told Marie Claire. "It has helped my stamina. When I'm onstage, I feel like I could go on forever.

"Without wanting to use that clichéd word, I feel empowered. I've got the power to defend myself. It's a great feeling to know that you don't have to have a bloke around to protect you."
