The Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, has long been envied for her lustrous brunette locks, but over the last week she has stepped out with a whole range of incredible hairstyles, leaving royal fans seriously inspired.

Kate's week of impressive new 'dos started with her appearance at a special dinner for SportsAid on Thursday. The 34-year-old wore her hair down in her signature glossy blowdry as she stepped out for the event at Kensington Palace.

Kate has impressed day after day with her hairstyles

The following morning Kate joined the rest of the royal family for the National Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral, and swept her tresses into an intricate low bun topped with a cream pillbox hat.

KATE'S MOST GLAMOROUS UPDOS

Trooping the Colour marked Kate's third consecutive high profile appearance, and she opted for another incredible updo for the occasion. While it was initially Kate's Philip Treacy hat and Balenciaga earrings that attracted attention, a closer look at the Duchess' hair revealed that her hair had been twisted into an elegant side swept up do.

The Duchess has worn her hair in a series of intricate updos

For Sunday's Patron's Lunch Kate served up a more relaxed hairstyle, and twisted the front two sections of her hair away from her face while leaving the rest down in natural waves. It is a style she has sported a few times in recent weeks, including for her debut at Chelsea Flower Show in May.

It was another day, another updo for the Order of the Garter ceremony in Windsor on Monday. Kate's hair appeared to have been slightly backcombed and teased to add volume to her bun, which sat at the nape of her neck.

Kate wowed with her Royal Ascot debut

While some may have run out of ideas after five consecutive outings, Kate continued to give fans hair envy when she attended the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland's garden party on Tuesday. The twisted side bun was pretty and sophisticated – adding the perfect finishing touches to her Day Birger coat and Lock & Co hat.

Kate may have saved her best look of the week until last when she made her debut at Royal Ascot alongside husband Prince William on Wednesday. Perfectly striking the balance between fashionable and formal, the mum-of-two's hair was braided back into a knotted low bun with extra volume at the crown.
