How the stars stay in shape: TV presenter Emma Griffiths

07 OCTOBER 2008

"I use light weights to elongate the muscles and cycle and do lots of rowing on the machines, which works your upper body while exercising your legs as you push yourself away from the base. I really enjoy rowing – but I hate the cross-country machine. If I made myself do that, I know I'd stop going to the gym: you've got to find the equipment you like. And while I've never eaten junk food, I don't deprive myself. I always buy one treat because otherwise I'll be sitting on the sofa at home thinking, 'This sucks, there's nothing in this house that's any fun to eat'. Then I'll start to obsess and feel miserable. And life's just way too short for that, isn't it?"
