Meet Elizabeth Hurley in Selfridges as she lends her support to Breast Cancer Awareness Month
As founder of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Estee Lauder is always at the centre of celebrations to mark the event. And as Breast Cancer Awareness Ambassador, Elizabeth Hurley can be relied upon to lend her name and presence to the campaign.
Which gives us all a chance to meet the model when she appears at Selfridges in London on Thursday October 16 to sign purchases from the Estee Lauder Pink Ribbon Collection, each of which will include a donation to Breast Cancer Research. Items in the range include Elizabeth's favourite lip glosses and the Pink Ribbon Diary 2009.
Elizabeth will be in the store between 1 and 2pm, before heading off to support Estee Lauder's 2008 Global Lighting Initiative for Breast Cancer Awareness by turning on the lights that will illuminate the Tower of London's tenth-century White Tower in pink.
The Tower will join more than a hundred celebrated landmarks around the world, from the Sydney Opera House to Niagara Falls, also being lit up in pink during October to get the breast cancer awareness message out to millions of people.
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, which was founded by Evelyn Lauder in 1993, has raised $220 million to help find a cure for the disease.
