"Before, I had a flat bum, no boobs and not much shape," she said, before adding: "I'm way more womanly now. I'm a bit more confident with my body. I've got a belly, boobs and a bum."

The 27-year-old also discussed how her eating habits have affected her appearance and health.

"I put it down to eating amazingly well. I've been vegetarian for six months and now my body's different, my skin is different, my face shape is different and my eyes are brighter too", she said, speaking to the Daily Star.

She went on: "And for me exercise is a crucial part of being alive. It's like breathing."

Ellie has previously discussed how yoga is her exercise of choice, with a fondness for "high-energy sports like Capoeira, which is a martial art dance where you're constantly on your hips gets you really good hip muscles."

Ellie won her first BRIT award back in February and spent time during the after party DJing with Katy Perry and Lorde.

When asked about pop stars such as Rihanna and Miley Cyrus, she revealed she would never criticise them.

"I don't have anything against being sexy if a pop star exposes herself or doesn't wear a lot", said Ellie.

She then added that it is the music that is important. "If someone's making good music, I don't care about anything else. Some of the most successful girls don't portray themselves as sex symbols. Lorde doesn't dress like skank. Lily Allen doesn't dress provocatively."

Despite cracking America, Ellie also remains confident and aware that she can never take anything for granted.

"The music industry is unpredictable but I like that. It's good not to know what's going to happen", she revealed.
