Kim Kardashian's comment about flu being an "amazing diet" has been met with mixed reviews, with several people criticising the reality TV show. The mum-of-two tweeted: "The flu can be an amazing diet. So happy it came in time for the Met lol #6lbsdown" on Wednesday. Some of the star's 51.1 million followers warned her that her tweet might be taken too seriously, with one writing: "I'd watch what I say! People will start saying the flu is the next amazing way to lose weight lol," while another added: "You're aware of the amount of people that follow you/are inspired by you, right? Lots of them being impressionable young people?"

Kim joked about her flu

However, several of Kim's fans defended her, with one writing: "I'm in love with the fact that people don't understand your humour. It's shallow humour, but still... this is a joke people. Another added: "People relax, it was a joke, Kim, hope you feel better soon, sending you love and well wishes from Canada." Kim is set to wow at this year's Met Gala after she and her husband Kanye West attended the event in matching metallic outfits for last year's red carpet theme, which was Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.
