It's a boy for Jamie Bell and Evan Rachel Wood

30 JULY 2013 Jamie Bell and Evan Rachel Wood are celebrating after welcoming their first child together. This week, the 25-year-old actress gave birth to a baby boy.

Following the happy news, British star Jamie, 27, took to Twitter to praise his wife. "Wow! What a day. Evan you are my warrior," he wrote. "You never cease to amaze me. Thank you for birthing our son so naturally & peacefully. You did it!"

The actress' spokesperson also confirmed the little boy's arrival, telling US Weekly, "Evan Rachel Wood and her husband Jamie Bell are parents to a beautiful boy. Parents and baby are doing well."

So far, details on the baby's name and birthweight have not been revealed.

Evan and Jamie started dating in 2005 after co-starring in the music video for Green Day's song Wake Me Up When September Ends.

The couple broke up in 2006 — Evan went on to have a highly publicised relationship with Marilyn Manson — but rekindled their romance in the summer of 2011.

They were married in October 2012 in a small ceremony watched by family and close friends, and announced they were expecting their first child together in January 2013.

Despite awaiting the arrival of her first baby, Evan has been keeping busy with her film schedule, with four films currently in pre-production. Husband Jamie has a new movie coming out later this year; a Korean/American sci-fi thriller called Snowpiercer, also starring Tilda Swinton, John Hurt and Chris Evans.
