Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas 'in love' with the newborn baby boy

04 JUNE 2014 Ginnifer Goodwin's husband Josh Dallas has spoken for the first time since the arrival of the couple's baby boy last week.

The 32-year-old actor used Twitter to share a special message with his fans. "Thanks for all the well wishes about our new baby boy," Josh tweeted. "We are in LOVE! He's our favourite person."

So far, the couple have not shared the name of their firstborn, who arrived on Thursday 29 May. But Ginnifer, 36, had certainly put some thought into it. "Naming a child with the last name of Dallas is a little more complicated," she joked ahead of the birth.

The baby's arrival came just over a month after the Once Upon A Time co-stars married in a secret ceremony. They tied the knot in front of around 30 close friends and family members in Venice, California, the heavily pregnant bride dressed in a custom-designed Monique Lhuillier gown.

Ginnifer and Josh announced they were expecting a baby in November 2013, a month after they got engaged and two years after they started dating.

The actress, who had made no secret of her desire to start a family, was thrilled. "I'm 35, so I'm already thinking about that," she had previously said. "If it happened right now, I would absolutely have a baby.

"The only issue I have with ageing is nothing to do with my career. It's that I want to have a lot of kids before I'm physically unable to do so."

The couple star opposite each other in the TV series Once Upon A Time

Ginnifer and Josh met on the set of Once Upon a Time, on which they play Snow White and Prince Charming.

"It hit me like a blinding light. I thought, 'I'm in trouble now'," Josh has said of falling for the star.
