Shakira confirms she is pregnant with her second child

Shakira has confirmed that she is pregnant again.

The Waka Waka singer, who already has a 19-month-old son Milan with her long-term love Gerard Pique, revealed the news to Cosmopolitan México"Well yes, the truth is that I am pregnant," she said, following reports that the Colombian beauty was showing the first signs of a baby bump.

Further rumours suggested that Shakira was expecting another boy.

The little bundle of joy will be the second child for Shakira and football hero Gerard, who welcomed their firstborn on 22 January 2013 in Barcelona. Shakira is besotted with motherhood, often posting pictures of Milan giggling and travelling with the power couple.

This year the family were in Brazil for the 2014 World Cup. It brought happy memories for the singer, who met her partner while promoting her 2010 World Cup anthem

Their little boy recently showed off his own football skills when he appeared in a charity video kicking a ball encouraged by his proud mother.The Hips Don't Lie singer added that he has completely changed her outlook. "Everything is different," she said. "Maybe the biggest change is that I think about the future more, what the world will be like for him when he grows up. "Shakira made the comments in an interview with Ocean Drive magazine, in which she also spoke about her "beautiful relationship" with her sportsman boyfriend.The singer said that "the balance of power is equal" between her and Gerard, 27, adding: "Relationships have to have a give and take if they're going to work in the long term."

Shakira made headlines when she said her sizzling duet with Rihanna had come about because of Gerard. "He's very territorial, and since he no longer lets me do videos with men, well, I have to do them with women," she said.Later the Latina bombshell explained that she was joking. "It's funny, when I made those comments, it was really in a lighthearted, humorous way," she said. "I was surprised to see that it was taken so seriously in the press.""Gerard doesn't tell me what to do," she continued. "We discuss everything as a couple, as I imagine most partners do. We have a beautiful relationship and one of mutual trust."
