Congratulations are due to Terri Seymour and her boyfriend Clark Mallon after the British beauty gave birth to their baby girl on Monday in LA. The happy news is extra special because the TV presenter was told in her 20s that she might not be able to have children.

"Clark and I are thrilled to finally meet and welcome our baby girl into the world," proud new mum Terri exclusively told HELLO!. "She has already stolen our hearts. Now that we have met her, we are still working on her name. Thank you to everyone for their well wishes and support."

The photogenic duo kept their pregnancy news from everyone until the end of her first trimester.

One of the first to learn their secret was Terri's ex-boyfriend and best friend Simon Cowell.

In an exclusive interview with HELLO!, she revealed: "He said it was perfect timing with his son Eric being so young and he hoped I would have a baby girl so he could set her up with Eric and they could date. ‘How perfect would that be,’ he said. Typical Simon.”

In the latter stages the couple began to be more open with fans. Terri shared pictures of herself heading off swimming in a maternity costume and sitting on a birthing ball. Her partner also posted an image of himself in a breastfeeding class with the caption: "Modern day daddy".

With the birth of their child, the couple are thinking about spending more time in Britain. Terri, 40, is from Little Chalfont in Buckinghamshire, while Clark, a successful model, is from North Wales. “We want the baby to be schooled in the UK,” says Clark, who has starred in ads for Katy Perry's perfume and BMW.
