The new arrival is due in January 2016 and will be the first child for the couple, who tied the knot in December 2012 in a romantic ceremony featured exclusively in HELLO! magazine.

Harry is undoubtedly overjoyed at the news after recently revealing that starting a family with violinist Izzy was his "main ambition".

"I'm happy at the moment but it's my main ambition," he told MailOnline. "I'd like one sooner rather than later. I've got myself a wife so that's the first step."

He also joked that Izzy would like to have "ten" children if it was up to her.

The couple will have plenty of help on hand from Harry's McBusted bandmates; Tom Fletcher is a proud dad to 16-month-old Buzz with his wife, HELLO! Online blogger Giovanna Fletcher, while Matt Willis and his wife Emma have two children of their own, six-year-old Isabelle and three-year-old Ace.

Tom and Giovanna may have played a part in inspiring the couple to start a family together, after Harry said seeing them with baby Buzz had made him broody.

"Certainly," Harry told Reveal, adding: "I've always wanted to have kids. One day, that's the plan."
