With just weeks to go until she welcomes her first child, Sam Faiers is taking the time to reflect on her recent romantic getaway. The former TOWIE star has shared a picture from her 'babymoon' in the Maldives with her boyfriend Paul Knightley, expressing her excitement at becoming a mother.

The mum-to-be proudly showed off her baby bump in a bikini shot of her standing on the beach during her holiday, in which she revealed she is just five weeks away from her due date.

"35 weeks and counting. So excited… Can't wait to meet our little baby," Sam captioned the image.

Sam jetted away to the Maldives with her boyfriend Paul at the beginning of November, telling her fans it was her "last trip before I'm a mummy". The 24-year-old, who confirmed her pregnancy in August, was enjoying some downtime in the idyllic location before she gives birth to her little boy or girl.

The couple have decided to keep the gender of their baby a surprise, with Sam recently explaining to HELLO! Online that they are still undecided on possible names too.

Sam and Paul visited the Maldives in November

"I think when we do decide on a name that we will keep it a secret as it's so easy for people to change your mind on a name once they hear it," she said. "And once we've decided I think Paul and I will want to stick with it."

She added: "Sometimes it takes seeing a baby for the first time before you decide on a final name as well. I always remember Billie being really keen on Elsie for Nelly, but then when she saw her she didn't think it suited her, so I guess we will have to wait and see."

Sam also said she had been lucky to have a sickness-free pregnancy so far.

"I have been really lucky that I haven't felt poorly at all, and it's all gone very smoothly so far," Sam added. "Hopefully I don't jinx myself and my labour is just as easy as my pregnancy has been.

"Thankfully I haven't suffered with any morning sickness… I haven't had any odd cravings either, just perhaps more of a sweet tooth than usual, and I am enjoying desserts a lot more!"
