Eddie Murphy has added to his brood after his long-time girlfriend Paige Butcher welcomed a baby girl on Tuesday. The couple, who have been dating since 2012, confirmed the happy news to Entertainment Tonight – and revealed they have called their daughter Izzy Oona Murphy.

"Both mother and daughter are doing well," a rep for the actor said.

Eddie Murphy and Paige Butcher have welcomed a daughter

Eddie revealed that he and Paige were expecting a daughter in April, saying they were "excited" about their new arrival.

While Izzy is Paige's first child, Eddie's baby girl will be half-sister to five children from his 22-year marriage to Nicole Murphy; Bria, 25, Miles, 22, Shayne, 21, Zola, 15, and Bella, 13, as well as his other children; Eric, 26, with Paulette McNeely, Christian, 25, with Tamara Hood, and Angel, nine, with Spice Girls band member Mel B.

The couple are delighted to welcome a new addition to the family, with a source revealing to The Daily Mail: "Eddie really is a family man and loves all of his children so he's excited about having another one on the way."

The baby girl, named Izzy, is Eddie's ninth child

"Even though he has eight children by four different women, they all come together on holidays and for sporting events and hang out at his mansion as one big blended family. All of the children love each other dearly and the women, having all moved on with their own relationships, co-exist very well together."

Eddie started dating Australian model Paige in 2012, following his break-up with HLN anchor Rocsi Diaz earlier that year.

Paige is credited with sparking the comic's desire to want to return to stand-up comedy. In October, the comedian performed his first stand-up routine in decades as he accepted the coveted Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, and delivered his much-talked-about Bill Cosby impression.
